Obituaries
Earl Capps, 92, 844 S. Main, died Friday, December 3, 1993, at the Fort Scott Manor. He was born March 3, 1901 in Bourbon County, the son of Thomas and Grace Rose Capps. He married Connie Smith on April 23, 1938, at Fort Scott.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church; Rising Sun Lodge No. 8, AF&AM, where he received 25-year and 50-year pins; and Scottish Rite

He had been a printer for many years with Standard Advertising and Prinitng Company and worked 25 years for the Fort Scott Tribune.

Survivors include his wife, Connie, of the home. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Capps and Arthur Capps.

There will be cremation.

The Rev. Jan Hayen will conduct graveside services at 2 p.m. Tuesdau in Evergreen Cemetery.

Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
