Obituaries
Josiah E. Watters, 93 years old, 403 Devon avenue, Independence, died yesterday at the Jackson County Emergency hospital after a long illness. Mr. Watters was a member of the Baptist church. He had been a railroad man all his life until his retirement more than twenty-five years ago. He was born in Harrison County, Ohio, and had been a resident of the Greater Kansas City area thirty-five years. Mr. Watters leaves three daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Russell, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Irene Welch, Rockville, Mo., and Mrs. Bertha Jensen, Carbondale, Colo.; two sons, Eugene Watters of the home, and the Rev. Charles F. Watters, Guide Rock, Neb.; eight grand-children and one great-grand-child. Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Wednesday at the Kepley chapel in Independence.
