On a Delayed Certificate of live birth dated 26 May 1951, Ada Mae’s age is attested to by Priscilla Lee, an aunt.

Her obituary lists a gg-grandson serving in Korea (Air Force), Dave Gilbreath.

Mrs. Priscilla Lee, 94, pioneer resident of Bourbon County died this morning at 7:30 at the Burke Street Mercy Hospital where she had been a patient two days suffering with heart ailment complications. Her home was at 1104 East Wall Street. She had lived in Bourbon County 90 years with the exception of a short time in Rich Hill, Mo.

Born Priscilla Elizabeth Capps, June 15, 1858, Mrs. Lee came at the age of four years with her parents, Whitfield and Tempie Jane Howerton Capps, in a covered wagon from North Carolina to the Center neighborhood northeast of Fort Scott. Here she was educated and grew to young womanhood.

She was married on her birthday, June 15, 1876, to Winfield S. Lee, who died Aug 9, 1934. At the time of his death, the couple had celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. John C. Ward, of 1223 East First, two granddaughters, one great-grandson, and one great-great-grandson, Dave Gilbreath of the air force in Korea. A son, Martin Lee, is deceased.

The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Cheney Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Herman L. Heim, pastor of the First Church of God, conducting the service. Burial will be Maple Grove cemetery.

Priscilla E. Lee

Relatives and friends from both the city and county attended the funeral services for Mrs. Priscilla Elizabeth Lee, held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Cheney Funeral chapel. Mrs. Lee, a resident of this county for 90 years died Friday at the Burke Street Mercy Hospital.

The services were conducted by the Rev. Herman L. Heim of the First Church of God and music was furnished by Reese Singmaster who sang two solos. Mrs. Howard Jones was the organist.

Burial was in teh Maple Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers were Roy Clark, John D. Pryor, Clarence Thornton, Jr., William A. Copeland, Max Crane and Benton More.

Among the relatives and friends from a distance attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. G.M. Brown, Pittsburg and Mrs. Gladys Wurtz, Kansas City.
