Notes for Orville Marvin (Spouse 1)
Photo clipping from page 5 of the Fort Scott (Kansas) Tribune dated 6/21/1976 shows the class of The Ivy School in Fort Scott for the years of 1918-1919. Orville is the second row from the top, far right.
In 1930, Orville is a meatcutter for Mrs. Mabel L. Whiteside, and lives at home 1238 East Wall Street. The Fort Scott Directory of 1938 lists Orville and Josephine. He works as a meatcutter at Whiteside’s No. 1, along with his brother, Clarence. He and Josephine live at 112 West Oak Street. The Kansas City Kansas Directory of 1945 lists Orville as a clerk for Kroger’s, and living at 726 Washington Boulevard. By 1950, he and Dorothy had moved to 1932 North 14th Street, where they lived at the time their son was born. They moved to the Missouri side in 1952, then on to Fort Scott, Kansas before taking up residence at 4137 East 11th Street in Kansas City, Missouri in 1955

Kath and I drove through KCK 8 apr 2006 and the house at 1932 North 14th no longer exists.
