This one is up for grabs. After careful
photometric analysis, we've come to the conclusion, for better
or worse, that this is William
Henry Simpson. My cousin Ada had noted on the cardboard that
held this image that it was a "great-uncle, favors uncle
Marve Simpson".
That he looks like my dad isn't in question. I just think he's
my great-grandfather. It makes sense that John L. would have
done portraits of his mom and dad and maybe a self-portrait while
he was at it. I used to do the same thing when I was learning
photography. Most of my old images have either been destroyed
or lost, though. |
