She was born May 23, 1896 in McLouth and spent her early life in the Jarbalo communityy in Leavenworth County. She had lived in Topeka since 1916. She was a member of the Oakland Methodist Church. She was employed at Crosby's Department Store 14 years until 1950 and later assisted in operating the Crawford Laundromat, 508 W. 8th, before she retired in 1964. She was married to Lee M. Crawford Oct. 12, 1919.1 Besides her husband, survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary E. Paulitsky, Mt. Prospect, Ill.; two sons, Donald L. Crawford, Burbank, Calif., and Jack B. Crawford, 438 Wabash; two sisters, Mrs. T.R. Patton, Kansas City, Kan., and Mrs. Elsie Hildebrandt, Beaumont, Calif.; a brother, James Snavely, Los Angeles, Calif,; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
