...he was ill three weeks before he died at the family residence at 213 Little. He died of pneumonia. He was well known in the city. He leaves a wife and 5 children. Will and John for for the railroad and concrete (?). He has a daughter in Pittsburg, Kansas and one in Nevada, Missouri.

The funeral of William Simpson, who died night before last, was held this afternoon at 3:30 from the First Baptist church, conducted by the Pastor, Rev. Griffith. The services were largely attended by the deceased’s old friends and friends of the family. Interment was made in Evergreen cemetery.
