Samuel H. Henning

Samuel H. Henning, 80, Northeast Kansas City, died Tuesday at
Trinity Lutheran Hospital. He was born in Bourbon County, Kansas
and had lived in the area 44 years. Mr. Henning was a forklift
operator for the Colgate-Palmolive Company for 31 years before
he retired in 1972. He was a member of Oakhaven Christian Church,
Memphis, Tenn. He leaves three daughters, Roberta A. Coody and
Linda Metcalf of Kansas City, and Alice Dowell, Memphis; two
brothers, Thomas Henning, Fallbrook, California, and Lee Henning,
Colera, Oklahoma; six sisters, Ruby Muir and Kay Cox of Yerington,
Nevada; Mary Munoz, Colombus, Kansas; Ruth Sneidler, Burlington,
Iowa; and Sarah Thompson and Alta Norris of Portland, Oregon;
six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Services will
be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Blackman Guardian Chapel; burial in
St. Mary's Cemetery, Kansas City. Friends may call from 7 to
9 p.m. at the chapel.
