Orville Marvin Simpson, of 4137 East 11th, died Monday at a doctor's
office(1) at 4620 J.C.
Nichols Parkway. He was born in Fort Scott, Kan., and had lived
here 32 years. He was a retired meat cutter and fish bait manufacturer.
He was member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Scott. He was
a Mason. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Simpson of the home;
two sons, William Simpson, Orange, Calif., and Orville Simpson,
Jr., Castle Rock, Colo.; a daughter, Mrs. Sonjalee Helm, Denver;
a brother, Clarence Simpson, Mt. Vernon, Wash.; three sisters,
Mrs. Sarah Henning, Kansas City, Mrs. Dorothy Coleman, 4031 Georgia,
Kansas City, Kansas, and Mrs. Gladys Wurtz, 923 Norton, and three
grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Blackman-Guardian
Chapel; burial in Bethel Cemetery, Leavenworth. Friends may call
from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel.
