She was born in Bourbon County February 9, 1884, the daughter
of Jacob and Martha Brown. She married William Henry Simpson
on September 11, 1907 at Fort Scott. He died January 25, 1954. Surviving are two sons, Clarence A. Simpson of O'Connor, Washington;
and Orville Marvin Simpson of Kansas City; three daughters, Mrs.
Samuel (Sarah E.) Henning and Mrs. Lawrence (Gladys L.) Wurtz,
both of Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Otto (Dorothy Mae) Coleman
of Kansas City, Kansas; two brothers, Tom Brown of Wichita, and
Harrison Brown of Lawton, Kansas1.;
15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Simpson was a member of the First Baptist Church. Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Mae Simpson, former Fort Scott
resident, will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Konantz Funeral Home with
the Rev. Robert Fly officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery. Mrs. Simpson died Friday at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City. (1)Lawton is in Cherokee County, Kansas |
